If you’re looking for a room with a view, the Colina Mar Apartments are a great option. They’re tucked into a hillside overlooking the Puerto Rico Valley, so rural vistas stretch out in every direction. Not only that, there’s also a sandy beach directly below that takes about thirty minutes on foot to get to. In terms of getting out and about, the popular Europa Centre – home to shops, restaurants and bars - is just a couple of minutes’ down the road.

The apartments themselves are simply styled with pale yellow walls and sky-blue bed linen. They come with living areas and kitchenettes, so you’re well set-up for self-catering. They all have their own balconies, too.

Outside, there are two sea-facing swimming pools to choose from. Head to the main pool for games, quizzes and watersports, or pull up a sun lounger at the quiet pool if you’re just looking to take it easy. There are a couple of poolside bars as well, serving up light bites throughout the day.

At mealtimes, there's the main restaurant or the à la carte for dinner. As a rough rule of thumb, dishes have a Mediterranean flavour – think fresh seafood, pasta and paella. And the staff put on regular theme evenings, too, which feature the likes of Italian nights, show-cooking demos and barbecues by the pool. In terms of after-dinner entertainment, meanwhile, cabaret-style shows and tribute acts are on the agenda.
