The Aparthotel Playa Mar is framed by mountains and set just a few minutes' walk from Puerto Pollensa’s waterfront, which is studded with sandy coves. What’s more, Puerto Pollensa’s town centre and its main beach are only a 20-minute stroll away. To get to them, just follow the tree-lined path that snakes along the shoreline.
At the hotel, life centres around the swimming pool. It’s designed like a cloverleaf with one leaf set aside for toddlers, and edged by big terraces laden with loungers and palms. There’s also a fantastic new splash park out here for little ones, which comes complete with giant crab and cow-shaped slides.
At mealtimes, you can tuck in to international dishes in the buffet restaurant, which has just had a complete makeover. As for after-dinner entertainment, expect live shows, family games and Abba-style tribute acts in the brand new entertainment theatre.
