Sitting on the shores of Crete’s northern coast, Gouves is a traditional Greek resort with white washed houses meandering down from their green mountain backdrop towards the sparkling blue sea below. The ancient village of Knossos is full of fascinating history and has an interesting Archaeological Museum, or visit Crete Aquarium in Gournes, one of the largest aquariums in Europe and boasting over 200 species of Mediterranean marine life.
