Beginners – Galtur has some nice, gentle nursery slopes in the village. With the excellent Ski tuition confidence soon grows. You may even find that you can progress higher into the Ski area to enjoy the longer blue runs and the amazing views from the summit.
Intermediate – The slopes on offer in Galtur are an excellent assortment of red runs for intermediates to practice and improve upon. With access to Ischgl you there are some great runs and an absolute must during your stay is the 12km run from the top of Ischgl's Palinkopf down into Samnaun in Switzerland.
Advanced – There is a good range of on-piste blacks in Ischgl and some fantastic testing routes, but the area really comes into its own, at Galtur and Ischgl, when you take a guide and head for the off-piste for some excellent challenging skiing.
Snowboarders – For excellent snowboarding facilities whilst in Galtur you will need to head to across to Ischgl, which is famous for holding the first ever snowboarding World Cup back in 1993. Boasting huge off-piste, great free riding terrain and now one of the biggest and best freestyle parks in the Alps Ischgl is a perfect Family destination.
Après Ski – Galtur’s entertainment is not as bustling as its sister resort Ischgl, although you will find that there is still a lot on offer from cosy cafés to some lively late bars and restaurants. There is also the option to travel into Ischgl to find something a little more animated. Galtur also has some great activities such as ice-skating, bowling, cinemas and cross-country skiing.
Transfers – Galtur is situated approximately 1hr and 45minutes from Innsbruck airport.
