This adults only hotel is in a fabulous location, perched on a hill above the Bay of Arenal, so postcard-worthy views are a given. What’s more, the beach, shops and restaurants of Arenal d’en Castell are just a five-minute walk downhill. To make things even easier, the hotel runs a shuttle bus to the beach six days a week.
Outside there is a large freeform swimming pool that is encased by a spacious sun terrace furnished with sun beds and parasols for a truly relaxing time. On the subject of relaxing, you’ll also find a sauna and a whirlpool tub not far away as well as a poolside snack bar for afternoon refreshments.
Inside, the rooms are spacious with lots of pale wood-panelling and minimalist, fuss-free furnishings. Buttermilk bed linen and cream club-style chairs, and nice touches like TVs and hairdryers. Superior rooms and suites come with all that plus sea views, bathrobes and slippers, and suites have a separate living room, too.
The sophistication continues through to the restaurant, where red-checked seat cushions and crisp white tablecloths sit beneath contemporary spot-lights. For breakfast and evening meals you’re greeted with choice-packed buffets and show-cooking.
