Calahonda Holidays

A Spanish Home From Home…

If tradition and Spanish charm are what you are looking for in holidays to the Costa del Sol, then perhaps Calahonda is not the destination for you. If, however, you prefer a purpose built resort with all the amenities you’ll find back home, then Calahonda holidays should be right up your street. The town was first developed in 1966 and definitely had tourism in mind. You’ll find everything here from the usual restaurants, shops and bars to banks and local businesses that help this beautiful resort thrive. Days on Calahonda holidays are usually spent relaxing on the beach, perhaps joining in with some water sports and nights are spent enjoying the local hospitality and partying the night away.

Visit The Andalucían Town Of Mijas…

Despite being a purpose built resort, developers have been keen to keep the area green and have limited the amount of apartments built here. The ten golf courses within a ten kilometre radius of the town have also helped to increase its popularity but also means that last minute holidays to Calahonda are hard to come by. For a change of scenery on Calahonda holidays, just head into nearby Marbella or Puerto Banus, both have an affluent vibe and you can pass many an hour enjoying drinks in their marinas, doing a spot of celebrity spotting. For something more traditionally Spanish, just head into the hills and visit the authentic Andalucían town of Mijas.
