Three resorts

Cala’n Blanes is a true escape. This atmospheric resort comes with Cala’n Forcat and Los Delfines thrown in for good measure. The three places are so close together that they are very much one family. This means more restaurants and bars for your money and more space to lay down your towel.

There’s a great selection of bars, with English pubs and Spanish taverns living side by side. On a night out you can drift between the triplet resorts and meet new people, chat to local business owners or dance the night away. You’re guaranteed to find a night for you with lots of choice right on your doorstep.

The coved beach at Cala’n Blanes is just one of three gorgeous strips available to visitors of this peaceful resort. The fine sand and shallow water make this a great place to head if you’re planning a family holiday to Menorca, as little ones can paddle away while grown ups are left to relax on the soft shore, soaking in the Spanish sun.

If you’re looking to pack a little more action into your holiday then you can. Between Cala’n Blanes, Cala’n Forcat and Los Delfines there is quite a selection of watersports opportunities including water-skiing, pedalo hire and scuba diving. This is just the tip of the iceberg of things you can do on these breathtaking beaches.

A vibrant city is just down the road

Ciutadella is no longer than 10-minutes’ drive away. And you’ll be able to go there and back with ease as there are regular and efficient buses leaving from all three resorts as part of route 61. Once there you’ll find the vibrant city is addictive, with loads of different activities and things to see.

Picturesque Ciutadella contains some of the best evidence of the exciting history of Menorca. They include the cathedral which hails back to the 13th century and the Naveta d’es Tudons which is estimated to be around 4,000 years old. Museums like the one on Plaza de Sa Font will take you from BC to AD with in-depth information on every era of Menorca’s rich heritage.

If you want to stay in the here and now, Ciutadella is an absolute must for clubbing, live music and socialising. The nightlife is unlike anywhere else on the island with everything from local jazz to chart bangers playing from doorways in the city’s winding streets. With only a 10-minute ride back home you’ll be able to call it a night whenever you like.

    Explore the wilderness

Cheap holidays to Menorca should always take advantage of the free natural beauty that comes in abundance. There are more than enough opportunities to get out into the country on foot, on wheels or even on horse back. Cala’n Blanes is surrounded by scenic coastal paths which become part of the huge network known as the Cami de Cavalls. This sprawling web of walks that spans 180 kilometres around Menorca can take you just about anywhere on its coast.

Hire a bike from one of your local vendors and you can dart around from ruin to resort, cliff to coast. You’ll learn that there’s much more to Menorca than you first thought. If you want to take it a little slower without fear of tiring out too quickly then saddling up astride a steed might be the way to go. You can ride horseback with your very own companion to your heart’s content and see Menorca in a new light.

    Traditional Menorcan cuisine

At Cala’n Blanes, Cala’n Forcat and Los Delfines there are some outstanding eateries. These restaurants have perfected their craft, serving local specialities with new and interesting twists on classic recipes.

If you’re looking for something a little different, there’s a great little pizzeria, Es Pitus, and for those out late at night, a superb kebab shop simply called Doner Kebab. Or for a bit of everything in a slightly eccentrically exotic-themed restaurant, try Haiti.
