Plenty of resorts to choose from…

Bourgas – or Burgas – is a city and popular seaside resort on the Bulgarian coast overlooking the Black Sea. Despite being the fourth-largest city in Bulgaria, Bourgas itself is not necessarily the number one choice for sun-seeking travellers, who tend to prefer the smaller seaside resorts located in the Bourgas Region, including Sunny Beach, Elenite, Duni and Nessebur.

Rapidly growing in popularity – and you’ll see why…

Holidays to the Bourgas region are rapidly gaining popularity amongst holidaymakers who are growing tired of the more typical Mediterranean and Greek holiday destinations, and are looking for something similar, but altogether different. Holidays in traditional fishing villages with golden white sandy beaches and spectacular jutting cliffs tumbling into the crystal clear blue sea are typical of the region, and available at a very modest price point. But you don’t have to take our word for it – a cursory glance at the brochures and photos of the region will very quickly paint a picture as to why Bulgaria is becoming such a popular destination.

Full of surprises…

Many travellers are surprised by the Bourgas Region thanks to its combination of idyllic scenery, a touch of the Spanish Costas, its “unspoilt, undiscovered” reputation and the palm-lined sandy beaches that some would go so far to describe as “Caribbean-esque”. Whatever you are expecting, we guarantee that Bulgaria really will surprise you.

A little something for everyone…

Whether you are seeking lively bars, pubs and clubs, a peaceful romantic getaway or something in-between with family in mind, the Bourgas region has every base covered. Sunny Beach is the Bourgas Region’s beating heart and by far the most popular resort offering everything you might expect from a holiday in the sun and more. However, if you want to get away from it all and see a more traditional side of Bulgaria with cobbled streets, bustling market places and fishing villages crammed with seafood restaurants, you might want to venture a little further south from Sunny Beach to picturesque Nessebur.
