Audax Spa & Wellness Centre
The Hotel Audax is in a great spot just outside the centre of town. Shops, bars and restaurants are all within a couple of minutes' walk. And the sheltered bay of Cala Galdana is right on the doorstep - just cross the bridge at the bottom of the garden and you'll find yourself on the beach.
At the hotel, the star attraction has to be the split-level swimming pool. It's on a smart, raised terrace kitted out with sun loungers and parasols and trimmed with tall palms. There's also a pool bar so you can get ice cold drinks whenever you fancy. As of May 2011 this hotel will be exclusively for adults, which means you can relax with no interruptions throughout your Cala Galanda holidays.
On the subject of relaxation, the spa here offers a range of treatments, the highlight of which is massages-for-two. You'll also find therapy pools, thermal baths and meditation rooms. And if you fancy getting a bit more active, there are things like snorkelling and kayaking on offer, too.
Elsewhere, things are simple but stylish. The bar comes with modern furnishings and floor-to-ceiling windows. And the recently refurbished bedrooms are painted in modern neutrals, with sink-into-me double beds as standard. Extras come in the form of satellite TVs and private balconies.
