Beginners – Zermatt offers beginners several broad, safe and beautiful areas that are ideal for learning to ski. If you’re a beginner who is confident and loves to be challenged, you will certainly enjoy the slopes on offer in Zermatt and will improve rapidly.
Intermediates – With the excellent, long varied runs in Zermatt, intermediates will enjoy the range of skiing available to them. Expect to put countless miles of diverse terrain under your skis with the worthwhile runs to the village.
Advanced – Zermatt is justifiably famous for its advanced skiing. You will find speed skiing and some of Europe’s most famous mogul fields, in addition to the bumps and chutes available. There are large off-piste areas available for more experienced skiers.
Snowboarding – With varied slopes across the Ski areas, as well as 2 terrain parks, there is certainly plenty for snowboarders in Zermatt. There is also a snowboarding school for beginners to learn and master the basics of boarding.
Après Ski – Zermatt has an excellent range of cafés, restaurants and bars on offer, with something to suit a variety of tastes, from live music to oysters and champagne. There are also nightclubs in Zermatt if you like to dance till the early hours. There are plenty of winter activities available, including ice hiking, ice climbing, snowshoeing, tobogganing, ice-skating, and sleigh-rides. Excursions available include trips to the Glacier Grotto, the world's highest ice museum with its blue, frozen sculptures.
