Tignes Ski resort forms part of the massive Espace Killy Ski area, and along with neighbouring Val d’Isere, it offers some of the most challenging skiing in Europe. The high altitude of Tignes gives it some of the best snow conditions in the Alps, which make it possible to enjoy Ski holidays in Tignes virtually all year-round. The accommodation in Tignes is varied enough to offer something for every taste. The resort actually consists of a group of three large villages and two small villages. Val Claret is the highest altitude village, while Tignes Le Lac is the largest. The smaller villages, Tignes Les Brévières and Tignes Les Boisses, which are at lower altitude, are charming locations to stay in a Ski chalet in Tignes. Hotels in Tignes are generally of a high standard and feature all the facilities you expect of a modern purpose built resort.

Apartments in Tignes also offer first rate accommodation those who prefer to go self catering when they ski. Tignes has a decent nightlife with a great variety of bars and clubs that keep going into the early hours, although neighbouring Val d’Isere is more suited to the party crowd. Alongside the skiing in Tignes, there is an array of other activities including dog sledding, ice-skating and spa centres with saunas, Jacuzzis and swimming pools.
