The traditional charming village of Seefeld is situated in the largest natural reserve in Austria. Seefeld has been twice the venue holder of the Winter Olympics. Beginners – Seefeld is an ideal base for beginners to learn and master the basics of skiing. The Geigenbund area is situated near to the centre of the village and provides gentle slopes on which to learn.
Intermediate – The Gschwandtkopf area is situated close to the centre of Seefeld village and offers wide-open spaces to practice on. For something a little more challenging intermediate level skiers often head to the Rosshulte.
Advanced – For more challenging piste skiers can head to the Rosshulte or the Harmelekopf, where runs are wider and longer. In Seefeld you can also get an area pass that will allow you to cross the border to Germany and try out Germany’s only World Cup downhill slope.
Snowboarders – All levels of ability will enjoy snowboarding in Seefeld. There is a great park and half pipe available for freestylers. Intermediates will find some excellent terrain to try out.
Après Ski – With lively bars and restaurants and sophisticated nightspots, Seefeld has a wide ranging appeal. There are some great activities available, such as sleigh rides, ice-skating, bowling, tobogganing and paragliding, which can provide an interesting alternative to the slopes. There is also the option to enjoy excursions into Innsbruck, Salzburg, the Bavarian castles and even Italy.
Transfers – Seefeld is situated approximately 35 minutes from Innsbruck.
