Engelberg - Quite Aptly Named Angel Mountain

Engelberg Switzerland is a beautiful and traditional Alpine village. In fact the name Engelberg quite aptly means ‘Angel Mountain’. Despite the tourist development, Engelberg ski resort has remained largely unspoilt. Engelberg is a fairly isolated resort and isn't linked to any other resorts in the region, which is why an Engelberg skiing holiday is the ideal winter break away from the crowds. Engelberg is a friendly resort with plenty of different skiing options and Engelberg hotels and accommodations offer a traditional friendly atmosphere giving good value for money.

Engelberg skiing is actually split between two mountains. The Titlis area has a variety of runs, spectacular views, and glacier skiing at the summit and also has one of the biggest vertical descents in the world, which is a great challenge for more experienced skiers. Brunni, on the other Side of the valley, is ideal for beginners and families. Engelberg flights are available from most UK Airports all bookable online at Holiday Hypermarket!
