Superb All-Round Ski Resort for Beginners & Experts Alike
The Ski resort of Bardonecchia, Italy, is located on the Italian Side of the Frejus Tunnel, which crosses the border with France. The Bardonecchia Ski resort is made up of four distinct Ski areas called Campo Smith-Colomion, Les Arnauds, Mélezet-valle Stretta and Fregiusia-Jafferau. Bardonecchia skiing offers an incredible 140km of superb piste that is linked by 27 lifts and caters to skiers of all levels from absolute novice skiers to intermediates and experts.
Around a quarter of the runs are suitable for beginners and roughly the same for advanced or expert skiers while the remainder lie somewhere in between. Campo Smith is the best area for beginners in the Bardonecchia Ski resort and features a number of nursery slopes and wide easy trails. The highest and most challenging runs are in Fregiusia-Jafferau where there is also some very impressive off piste to enjoy.
