Beginners – There is a good selection of gentle nursery slopes in Bad Hofgastein, ideal for beginners to learn the basics and gain confidence in skiing, before moving onto longer cruising runs.
Intermediate – Bad Hofgastein will certainly spoil intermediate skiers with its long, wide cruising reds and narrow, winding runs through the forested areas, ideal for improving skills for the more challenging slopes to come.
Advanced – Bad Hofgastein offers some of the best black pistes in Austria and with access to the surrounding resorts there are some excellent challenging slopes that will test you and thrill you in equal measure.
Snowboarders – With deep powdery snow to keep you safe when you fall, Bad Hofgastein is certainly a great place to learn snowboarding. For the more experienced snowboarder Bad Hofgastein offers an excellent park and half-pipe and a good choice of pistes to try out.
Après Ski – Bad Hofgastein is quieter compared to neighbouring resorts, but still offers a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and some great entertainment, including a variety of bars, cafes and discos. There is a superb choice of restaurants serving an assortment of great food. Other activities on offer in Bad Hofgastein are ice-skating, tobogganing, sleigh rides and excursions to the beautiful city of Salzburg.
