A Friendly Cosmopolitan Atmosphere

The town of Aghios Nikolaos is on the eastern Side of the Greek Island of Crete.

Set on the western shore of the bay of Mirabello, Aghios Nikolaos holidays offer a large, lively resort town about 40 miles southeast of the Airport at Heraklion. According to the mythology the goddess Athena used to bathe in the lake, but these days the banks of the lake are surrounded by restaurants and open-air cafés, which makes it a fantastic place to pass the time. There is a good variety of hotel accommodation to suit most budgets and some impressive old buildings in the town, including a Byzantine church that has some beautiful old frescoes.
